In calm water their cruise speed is not bad at all, and in the rough chop of Lake Erie they're really fun. Set up is also very simple and quick. Two complaints. You have to be very careful to evenly position everything when you inflate, or the kayak will be slightly lopsided and track to one side. The other problem is the front zipper stops short as it meets the cockpit and water leaks in through the small gap. Otherwise great boats.
