Submitted: 08-03-2006 by merlin-3d I did a previous review of the Tampico XL (13.5L) last year. I now have several hundred hours on the water now and still like the boat alot. The boat turns well when you edge the boat - either carving or sliding turns. The boat is fast - I average 4.5 mph (via GPS) for a 2 hour paddle on flat water. It glides as well as bigger boats that I've paddled with.
