It went fast, while still able to be quite stable and manueverable. the hull design on this boat made the tracking nice. the seat didn't stay upright when I was trying to enter, so someone had ot help me by keeping the seat up until I got in. But old town has fixed this problem by making a better seat for this boat on all 2006 loon 138s. The loon 138 is a great kayak and I recomend it.
