Not a bad kayak for the price. It probably won't ever be my favorite, but beginners will appreciate the stability and light weight. Not a speed demon, but can cruise at a leisurely pace very easily. Just plan on more time to get to your destination if its a good distance. Plenty of room behind the seat for my kayak cart or camping gear for an overnighter. It takes a little correction after you stop paddling to keep it straight if your fishing. A little annoying. Bow yaws back and forth a little but not too bad a tracker. It is a wet ride in chop, but can handle it. Will be getting a full spray skirt soon. The seat really sucks, straps loosen and the seatback is a bit uncomfortable. Overall for me, its a keeper for the price and I'll be outfitting it for fishing. You get what you pay for, and although its adequate, don't expect too much. Mixed review, but the pros outweigh the cons. |
