i have had my blast for 3 years now and absolutely love it . i have used it to cross elliot bay in seattle in some really bad wind . now i go out on the windy days and play in the waves on puget sound . the reason i bought this kayak was cost and it looked like my perception that i had when i lived in australia . i have caught a wide variety of fish out of it , including an 8 lb. steelhead , 17lb. coho salmon and 21lb. chinook salmon . i have even had a seal jump up on the back and it was stable enough to handle the fish and seal and not to tip over . i have made rod holders and i have a spray skirt ( which is a must in bad weather because of the large cockpit ) . it is highly manouverable , it is light and very stable in the water . i liked it so much i went and got another one for my wife |
