| The West Michigan Coastal Kayakers Association is a group of approximately 150 paddlers located primarily in the state of Michigan. The club conducts several events each year, including group outings at Ludington State Park, pool sessions, and "Kayaking for Light." The club's biggest event is its annual symposium, which is held each Memorial Day weekend on Big Blue Lake, north of Muskegon, Michigan. This symposium features classes on a variety of topics, including traditional (Inuit) paddling skills. Featured speakers at past symposia have included Chris Duff, Greg Stamer, and Gail Green. More information about the symposium may be found at the club's web site.
